Broth Based Soups Lab with Kristi Fountain

Class: Broth Based Soups Lab

Instructor: Kristi Fountain

Description: For everything from the common cold to cabin fever, nothing is a better cure-all than soup during the cold winter months. With a few inexpensive ingredients, you can feed a crowd! In this class you will learn age-old methods for turning beef bones and a whole chicken into flavorful beef and chicken broths. Once you have your broths, the soup combinations are limitless. Kristi will discuss ingredients that you can add to create your own custom soup and demonstrate how this works with a Beef Barley Soup and Chicken Noodle Soup—made with homemade noodles!

Class Limit: 16         Class Style: Presentation/Hands-on*      Class Cost: $39       Class Time: approx. 1.5 hours


Note: Classes are all approximately 1 hour to 1 & 1/2 hours unless otherwise noted!

*Presentation Style Classes include: Printed recipes, class-room style instruction with visual screens,

Q & A time, and good-sized samples of food.

(Please note – there is no hands-on participation in a presentation style class unless otherwise noted!)

*Hands-On Style Classes include:  Smaller class size, more personal instruction, actual participation in some of the preparation, printed recipes, Q & A time, and food sampling. Hurry – Classes fill up fast.  Please call to register!
