Classic Desserts with Chef Mark Steinmetz

Class: Classic Desserts: Burnt Cream, Chocolate Mousse and Fresh Strawberry Coeur a’la Creme

Instructor: Chef Mark Steinmetz

Description: Chef Mark will teach how to make an array of delectable desserts – Burnt Cream, Chocolate Mousse and a fresh strawberry Coeur a’la Creme dessert. The Burnt Cream is a dessert consisting of a rich custard base topped with a contrasting layer of hard caramel. From choosing the rich cream to knowing the right temperature, Mark will have you turning out the best Burnt Cream ever! Chocolate Mousse will delight you with the traditional smooth, dreamy texture and flavor but is so simple to make.  Strawberries Coeur a’la Creme is great anytime. Learn to make a silky cream-based sauce with a hint of Grand Marnier to put over the berries. It is always time for dessert!

Class Limit: 16            Class Style: Presentation*            Class Cost:  $45             Class time: approx. 1 – 1.5 hours


Note: Classes are all approximately 1 hour to 1 & 1.5 hours unless otherwise noted!

*Presentation Style Classes include: Printed recipes, class-room style instruction with visual screens,

Q & A time, and meal-sized portions of food.
