Class: Pop & Drop Soups – Make Ahead Vegetarian Soup Bases

Instructor: Jamie Aquino

Description: This class features six soup recipes you can make ahead of time! Just pop into the freezer, then drop into boiling water with a few fresh veggies for a fast and fabulous made-from-scratch meal! You will learn how to create the concentrated flavor compounds for each soup base, how to portion, store properly, and finish the final product. These compounds take up very little space in your freezer but are big on flavor! On the menu: Walla Walla French Onion Soup with a cheesy crostini, Tomato Barley Stew, Tortilla Soup with fresh lime and cilantro, Caramelized Leek Soup, Smoky Split Pea, and Veggie Chili.

Class Limit: 16          Class Style: Presentation*         Class Cost: $39           Class time:  approx. 1.5 hours


Note: Classes are all approximately 1 hour to 1 & 1.5 hours unless otherwise noted!

*Presentation Style Classes include: Printed recipes, class-room style instruction with visual screens,

Q & A time, and good-sized samples of food.
