Description: The food of Mexico has the distinction of being one of the world’s first fusion cuisines. It uses an alluring blend of flavors from the Spanish with those of Mexico’s fascinating indigenous people. Join Chocolatier Julia in this fun presentation/hands on style class. She will show you how to prepare Mole Poblano, using Ecuadorian dark chocolate and Comal toasted spices. She will also share her secret for delectable Steamed Rice al Veracruzano, topped off with an amazing Fresh Jicama and Citrus Salad. The class will then participate in making two types of tortillas. This unique Mole recipe is said to date back to the time of Los Conquistadores. Come take a “sunny” culinary tour to Mexico with this authentic class.
