Class: Super Foods for a Super You! – A plant based class
Instructor: Jamie Aquino
Description: This class is all about “good in, equals good out”. The more good we put into our body, the more good we get out of it. Every recipe was designed to promote health and uses highly nutritious foods that benefit your body, brain, and mood! Jamie will focus on foods that boost the immune system, promote energy, beautiful skin, and encourage a more restful night’s sleep. Recipes will include ingredients with properties high in: essential fatty acids, vitamins A & E, anti-oxidants, anti-inflammatories, and other vitamins and minerals.
Menu includes an entree, side, dessert and snack: Kale Barley Salad with creamy avocado and made-from-scratch dressing, a hearty entree of steamed broccoli & chewy Ginger Tofu over a bed of specially prepared brown rice. For dessert, you’ll taste a Sweet & Tart Soft Serve and the best snack bar you’ve ever had! The Polynesian Bars are so good Jamie couldn’t decide whether it should be a snack or a dessert! Each student will go home with a helpful information packet to assist you in creating your own “superfoods” recipes! So come learn these recipes that are easy to prepare which means you’ll want to make them more often!
