Tofu Transformation – South of the Border – with Jamie Aquino

Class: The Tofu Transformation – South-of-the-Border 

Instructor: Jamie Aquino

Description: Did you know tofu is a versatile food that can be used in more than just Asian dishes? Let Jamie teach you how to create classic Mexican recipes made with this ancient Chinese food and her own unique twist! First, you’ll get hands-on with her Basic Tofu recipe, where she will show you her Dry Fry Method to make chewy, flavorful tofu every time. Next, you’ll watch as she prepares three recipes and discusses how and when to use different tofu textures, cooking and storing methods, along with how to create and work with Thousand Layer Tofu. On the dinner menu: Classic Fajitas with a Cilantro Lime Dip, Chili Verde Burritos, and a traditional Mexican dessert that’ll have you saying, Muy Bien! *Note: all dishes will have the option of being served without dairy and gluten.

Class Limit: 10          Class Style:  Partial Hands-On*               Class Cost: $45         Class time: approx. 1.5 – 2 hours


Note: Classes are all approximately 1 hour to 1 & 1.5 hours unless otherwise noted!

*Presentation Style Classes include: Printed recipes, class-room style instruction with visual screens,

Q & A time, and good-sized samples of food.
